Notice of Suspended Operation
Due to the recent resurgence of the Corona Virus pandemic, and in the interest of health and safety of our clients and our volunteers, we are again temporarily suspending deliveries of furniture and household goods. This suspension also applies to picking up donated items and accepting donated clothing at our church bins. Please understand, this is in consideration for the safety and health of all whom we serve and of course our volunteers who work hard to help our brothers and sisters in need. We will continue to accept requests for assistance and offers of items for donations and we will prioritize these lists based on greatest need when we resume operations.
The St. Vincent DePaul Society is a non-profit volunteer organization providing assistance to families and individuals in need, regardless of religious affiliation. The St. Vincent DePaul Society conference from St. Margaret Mary church in South Windsor, CT provides most of its support to families and individuals in need in Manchester, Vernon, Tolland, Ellington, East Hartford and South Windsor and to shelters and schools in Hartford . We provide used furniture, clothing, food and funds for fuel assistance to anyone in need.
If you are asking for assitance from the Society, we require a direct contact from an established case worker. All information provided is held in the strictest of confidence.
We monitor all requests received routinely, but because of the volume of requests we recieve and because we are an all volunteer organization, it may take up to three days to return a call. Please be patient.
